How It All Started
Dalton carpet didn't start out as carpet. It started as tufted bedspreads. Women tufted the spreads by hand and sold them for pin money. The simple, hand-tufted spreads suited the style of the times. Pretty soon, there was such a demand for tufted bedspreads that women couldn't keep up with the tufting. They began to hire their friends to tuft.
